Frozen 2 is Out and We are Here For It

Posted by Justin Grainger on

Parents, the long-awaited Disney sequel to the original animated female supergroup movie is almost here. Are you listening to the soundtrack nonstop in your kitchen during breakfast as you hurry to get your kids off to school, in your minivan on your way to your child’s dance class, and at night on repeat in your dreams (or nightmares)? Well, we’re here to help you prepare for this momentous event by making sure you and your entire family have got the right outfits. After all, what’s the premiere of a PG movie if not an opportunity to dress up in costumes and sing your heart out?

Haven’t jumped on the bandwagon yet? Somehow narrowly escaped the Frozen craze the first time around? Not to worry. It’s never too late to acquaint yourself with the world’s favorite girl power franchise that has the potential to release the next highest grossing animated movie of all time. You too can light up your kids’ faces by joyfully proclaiming that every day from now until November 21st is your household’s personal countdown to the Frozen sisters’ return to the big screen.

Here are a few more reasons to get excited about Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, and the rest of the beloved cast making their way into your hearts (and wallets) this holiday season…

Kristen Bell is a Great Role Model for Your Children (And for You)

She’s on the Good Place, she’s in Frozen, she’s just released a line of affordable baby products with her husband Dax Shepard, and she’s a parent just like you. Somehow this superstar manages to remain totally accessible on social media while also protecting her kids’ privacy and focusing on what really matters, like providing funding for teachers across the country so they don’t have to spend all their own money on school supplies. She’s a modern day hero, and her portrayal of Anna in the movie is consistent with her values in real life.

Frozen-inspired Pretend Play Provides Endless Chances to Stretch the Imagination

The days of playing boring old knights and princesses, doctor’s office, and grocery store are giving way to new and thrilling topics of pretend play. Without maligning the classics, you can embrace these new ways to play by updating your child’s dramatic play wardrobe - and maybe picking up a costume accessory or two for yourself, too. Nothing could be more fun than making your child’s day by getting into your pretend sleigh (your couch), taking off across your pretend frozen tundra (your living room carpet), and rescuing a pretend snowman or two (your dog / other child / spouse).

Investing in the Franchise is Really an Inexpensive Way to Invest in Your Family

In all seriousness, it can be hard to find ways to bond with your kids in the world today. Everything moves much faster than it used to and screen time has become a part of daily life.
